Chinese Elm Natural Rim Vessel #117

This vessel is made of Chinese Elm. The natural edge is the incorporation of the natural contour of the tree trunk into the rim of the form. It has a void in the side of the vessel which gives the piece an additional touch of beauty. The vessel was turned when wet, so it has some interesting warping that was produced by the drying process. This is a gorgeous display piece for your home. 

The bottom of the bowl has a slight foot. It has been finished with food safe oil and wax. The bowl can be cleaned with a damp cloth and then promptly dried. If the wood looks dry, then a food safe oil and wax can be applied. 

Each bowl has the year, type of wood, and number on the bottom.
